You
are in an enclosed room. There are three identical light switches
on one wall. One switch turns the porch light on and off, the other
two switches are inoperative.
How
would you determine which switch controls the porch light?
You
cannot see the porch, or light, from inside the room. You are, however,
allowed to make one trip to the porch before making a choice.
You
may flip the switches as many times as you'd like, to any positions
you'd like. The switches are accurately labeled 'on' and 'off.' The
porch light switch, the light fixture and the light bulb are all in
working order.
